A Crossland High School student hit by a car about two weeks ago as she tried to cross the street to reach her bus stop died Monday, authorities said.

Ashley Davis, 13, was among seven people injured in the two-car crash Sept. 1. She was walking across Brinkley Road near Fisher Road in Temple Hills when a Lincoln Continental traveling eastbound struck her, then hit an oncoming minivan, then a 17-year-old boy walking on the opposite side of the street, police said.

In total, police and fire officials said, seven people were taken to the hospital. The 13-year-old girl was the only one with grave injuries.
