FIRST ST., 700 block, 9:45 p.m. Aug. 29. A man went behind the counter at a video store and stabbed an employee. The assailant, who fled on foot, was arrested at his residence a short time later. A man, 18, was charged with aggravated assault.

FREDERICK RD., 15800 block, 6:15 a.m. Aug. 29. A gunman robbed a gas station of cash.

SOUTHLAWN LANE, 14800 block, 5:15 a.m. Sept. 1. A man followed an employee into a delicatessen and robbed the business of cash.

BADERWOOD LANE, 16800 block, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 27. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

ORLEANS WAY, 11400 block, 5:30 a.m. Aug. 30. A man attacked a female acquaintance. A man was charged with aggravated assault.

FREYMAN DR., 8500 block, 8:15 a.m. Aug. 30. A gunman attacked a motorist in a parking lot and robbed him of property. The gunman fled in an ivory-colored Chrysler.

BRIXTON LANE, 9900 block, 2 a.m. Aug. 26. Property was stolen from two vehicles. After a vehicle break-in in the 9700 block of Brixton Lane, a man, 22, of no fixed address, was arrested.

WEYMOUTH ST., 10600 block, 3 a.m. Aug. 29. A man was seen sitting on a 1989 BMW motorcycle with the kickstand up. When the owner approached, the man got off the bike and walked away with another man.

WHITE OAK SHOPPING CENTER AREA, 9 p.m. Aug. 27. A woman was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance.

CASTLE BLVD., 14100 block, 11 p.m. Aug. 26. Several people attacked a man in a parking lot, knocked him to the ground and kicked him. The victim said he knew his assailants.

FENWICK LANE, 1300 block, 8:55 a.m. Aug. 29. Three men, one of them armed with a handgun, followed a woman, who said she felt threatened and ran away. No injuries were reported.

FEATHERWOOD DR., 12300 block, 8:59 p.m. Aug. 28. Two men robbed a man in a parking lot of property at gunpoint.

QUEBEC TERR., 1000 block, 11:26 p.m. Aug. 31. Two males wearing masks robbed a pizza deliveryman of food at gunpoint at an apartment complex.

VILLAGE CENTER DR., 18100 block, 6:45 p.m. Aug. 24. A man driving a silver minivan parked the vehicle so close to a car that a girl sitting in it couldn't open the door. He exposed himself, then drove away.

ASSAULTS

NEWTON ST., 2600 block, 2 a.m. Aug. 29. A man asked a male for a ride home from a restaurant. When they arrived at the passenger's home, an argument erupted, and the motorist was stabbed with a knife.

ROBBERIES

CARMODY DR., 1900 block, 12:12 a.m. Aug. 28. Two males, one armed with a machete, robbed a male pedestrian, then fled with a male accomplice who had stood across the street.

JASPER ST., 1500 block, 8:10 a.m. Aug. 30. Two men got out of a white vehicle with tinted windows and robbed a pedestrian of his wallet at gunpoint.

MASON ST., 2500 block, 9:15 p.m. Aug. 24. Two males pushed a pedestrian to the ground and fled with her purse.

UNIVERSITY BLVD., 2500 block, 3:50 a.m. Aug. 29. A man attacked a man in front of a restaurant and robbed him of property, then fled in a white Honda. Two other men, one of whom was arrested and charged with strong-arm robbery were involved in the assault.

VEIRS MILL RD. AND PENDLETON DR., 10:10 a.m. Aug. 26. Three males threatened a pedestrian and fled with cash from his wallet.

MALCOLM KING PARK AREA, 12:05 a.m. Aug. 27. Two males sexually assaulted a woman at a party. Two Gaithersburg males, ages 15 and 17, were arrested.

INDECENT EXPOSURE

WOODFIELD RD., 18500 block, 6:50 a.m. Aug. 28. A customer at a fast-food restaurant exposed himself. An employee got the license plate number of his vehicle. A Rockville man, 51, was arrested at his home.

ASSAULTS

QUINCE ORCHARD BLVD., 700 block, 12:20 a.m. Aug. 29. A person attacked an acquaintance. Charges are pending for aggravated assault.

ROBBERIES

CLUB HOUSE RD., 19600 block, 10:10 p.m. Aug. 24. Three men threatened a pedestrian and robbed him of property at knifepoint.

CLUB HOUSE RD. AND MONTGOMERY VILLAGE AVE., 10:20 p.m. Aug. 29. A street robbery occurred. Police stopped several people fleeing the area. A 16-year-old Montgomery Village male was arrested.

SNOUFFER SCHOOL RD. AND LEWISBERRY DR., 3:40 a.m. Aug. 27. Two men who implied that they had a weapon robbed a man who had just left a bus.

TUNSTALL DR. AND WALBURG WAY, 9:05 p.m. Aug. 28. Three men grabbed a pedestrian and tried to steal her purse. During a brief struggle, a vehicle approached, and the assailants fled empty-handed. No injuries were reported.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CLUB HOUSE RD., 19500 block, 7:40 p.m. Aug. 31. A man tried to break into a business. The intruder fled when confronted by a security officer.

DARNESTOWN RD., 12100 block, 8:35 p.m. Aug. 29 to 7 a.m. Aug. 30. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

KING JAMES WAY, 17000 block, 9:40 p.m. Aug. 29. An attempt was made to break into a residence through a sliding-glass door. An 18-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested.

MERUST LANE, 9400 block, 12:35 a.m. Aug. 28. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

SCOTT DR., 9200 block, 3:14 p.m. Sept. 1. A Gaithersburg male, 11, was charged with possession of a deadly weapon on school property.

BRICE RD., 1000 block, 5 p.m. Aug. 21 to 4 p.m. Aug. 22. A tool bag containing a screw gun, a screwdriver bit set, a security bit set, a bolt- and screw-extractor set, screwdrivers, several pairs of pliers, batteries, a pair of mechanic's gloves, a magnetic drive guide, power cords, flashlights, a magnetizer, a receptacle tester, a magnetic parts bowl, a set of dental picks and other tools and accessories was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

FIRST ST., 1000 block, 11:50 a.m. Sept. 2. A weed-trimming device was stolen from a schoolyard.

KING FARM AND ELMCROFT BOULEVARDS, 5 p.m. Aug. 30 to 7:30 a.m. Aug. 31. A GPS device, a laptop computer and a digital music player were stolen from a vehicle.

MARTINS LANE, 300 block, 2 to 2:15 p.m. Sept. 1. A camera, a digital music player and a pair of sunglasses were stolen from a chair at an outdoor pool facility.

MEADOW HALL DR., 200 block, 10:10 to 10:20 a.m. Sept. 3. Clothing was stolen from a retail store.

MONUMENT ST., 100 block, 11:59 Aug. 26 to 10 a.m. Aug. 27. A GPS device, two wallets, audio cables and a wristlet were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

LEE AVE., 1 to 100 block, 1:17 a.m. Sept. 6. Two males attacked a food delivery driver, striking him over the head with long-barrel weapon, and robbed him of property as he was leaving an apartment building.

SLIGO MILL RD., 6400 block, 9:09 a.m. Sept. 5. A male got out of a green Ford Crown Victoria and demanded property from a male pedestrian at gunpoint. The victim ran, and the assailant got back in the vehicle and fled empty-handed with two male accomplices.

CARROLL AVE., 6900 block, 3:09 a.m. Sept. 7. An attempt was made to break into a business.
