Emergency responders in Northern Virginia will be holding a training exercise Sept. 26 that simulates a series of large-scale traumatic events, including a train bombing, a bombing in a park and a police chase in which a truck filled with explosives overturns.

The exercises will take place from 7 a.m. to noon in Alexandria, Arlington and Fairfax City and in Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William counties.
