A Prince George's County police officer and another driver were injured Monday in a crash in the Temple Hills area, authorities said.

The crash occurred just before 2:20 p.m. at Suitland Parkway and Naylor Road, said Sgt. Michelle Reedy, a Prince George's police spokeswoman. She said the circumstances of the crash were unclear, but communications records indicated that one car struck the other in the side.

Reedy said the police officer had some facial injuries and the other driver was hospitalized. Further information was not immediately available.
