Prince George's County police officers apparently wounded a suspect Tuesday night when they fired at a car that was trying to ram their cruiser about one mile from FedEx Field, police said.
They said the car had appeared suspicious and officers were trying to stop it near White Pearl Place and Peppermill Drive about 9:15 p.m. when it drove towards them. Police pursued the car for about a quarter of a mile and seized two occupants. One had a gunshot wound in the arm, police said.
The residential neighborhood where the incident occurred is west of the stadium, where thousands of people were attending a concert Tuesday night by the group U2.
