LINCOLN ST., 600 block, 10:30 p.m. Sept. 7. A person was assaulted by an acquaintance. A man, 22, was charged with aggravated assault.

ROCKVILLE PIKE, 200 block, 5:32 p.m. Sept. 9. A person assaulted an acquaintance at a Metro station. An arrest was made at the scene.

ROBBERIES

CALHOUN AND EAST GUDE DRIVES, 6 p.m. Sept. 8. Four males attacked a male, knocking him to the ground, then robbed him of property and fled.

CREEK SHORE DR., 4800 block, 11:25 p.m. Sept. 9. A person attacked a pedestrian, knocking him to the ground, then robbed him of a wallet and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

BRADLEY AVE., 300 block, Sept. 15. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

BRUSHWOOD WAY, 13100 block, 10:30 p.m. Sept. 14 to 1:15 a.m. Sept. 15. Property including car keys was stolen from a residence. A 2008 Mercedes was stolen from the garage.

COLLEGE PKWY., 800 block, 1:30 to 3:15 p.m. Sept. 9. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

INDIGO RD., 11800 block, 11:08 p.m. Sept. 8. A break-in occurred at a residence. A man, 41, of no fixed address was arrested.

HOLBROOK LANE, 9400 block, 3 p.m. Sept. 7 to noon Sept. 8. Property was stolen from a house under construction.

ORCHARD WAY N., 1-100 block, 10:19 p.m. Sept. 12. A break-in occurred at a residence. A man, 44, was arrested.

VAN BUREN ST. N., 100 block, 6:30 a.m. Sept. 10. Property was stolen from a residence.

WICOMICO AVE., 5700 block, 1:05 a.m. Sept. 14. Property was stolen from a business entered by force.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS

GLEN RD., 11700 block, Sept. 16. A 2003 BMW 328i and a 2007 Chevrolet Corvette were stolen from a residence. Officers on patrol saw the vehicles and, after a short pursuit, stopped one and arrested the driver. The other vehicle was recovered after being abandoned; the driver of that vehicle was arrested the next day. A Wheaton man, 25, and a Germantown man, 45, were each charged with theft of a motor vehicle.

TRIPLE CROWN RD., 12200 block, 7:39 p.m. Sept. 15. Property was stolen from a garage at a residence.

EAST WEST HWY., 1900 block, noon Sept. 8. A person was assaulted at a residence by an acquaintance.

ROSEMARY HILLS DR., 1900 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 9. During a verbal dispute, a person cut an acquaintance with a knife.

ROBBERIES

EAST WEST HWY. AND ROSEMARY HILLS DR., 11 p.m. Sept. 9. A man got off a bus and demanded property from a pedestrian. When she resisted, he stabbed her, then fled with her purse.

ROCKVILLE PIKE AND SECURITY LANE, 4:30 p.m. Sept. 9. A man with a handgun in his waistband robbed a man waiting for a bus.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALTA VISTA RD., 5400 block, Sept. 11 to 12. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

HOWARD AVE., 3700 block, 1:30 to 9 a.m. Sept. 12. Property was stolen from a restaurant entered by force.

OAKMONT AVE., 5600 block, 5:30 to 8 a.m. Sept. 12. Property was stolen from several offices entered by force inside a YMCA building.

WISCONSIN AVE., 7400 block, 2 p.m. Sept. 11. A man who said that he had been distracted by a female at a Metro station later discovered that his wallet was missing from his pocket.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

GALWAY DR. AND CALVERTON BLVD., 12:10 p.m. Sept. 7. A male youth groped a female pedestrian.

ASSAULTS

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8200 block, 1:20 a.m. Sept. 12. A man who had been in an altercation in a restaurant returned and fired several shots, then fled with accomplices in two vehicles. Several minutes later, there was an attempted robbery of a pedestrian at University Boulevard and Langley Drive. Three Silver Spring men, ages 25, 25 and 26, were arrested in connection with the incidents.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8500 block, 1:55 a.m. Sept. 13. Three men in a parking lot assaulted a pedestrian, knocking him to the ground, then took cash from his pockets and fled.

PINEY BRANCH RD., 8800 block, 9:20 a.m. Sept. 11. A man threw a cup of hot coffee at a person in a gas station with whom he had had a dispute on Sept. 10.

VENETIA MILL CIR., 10700 block, 7:35 p.m. Sept. 7. A Silver Spring male, 12, was arrested after he threatened two acquaintances with a knife.

ROBBERIES

NEW HAMPSHIRE AVE., 11200 block, 7:32 p.m. Sept. 11. A male threatened an employee in the bathroom of a retail store, pressed a hard object against his back, then fled with property.

OUTLET DR., 13800 block, 9:20 a.m. Sept. 8. A teenager robbed a store of cash at knifepoint, then fled to a nearby business and locked himself in a bathroom. A 14-year-old from Silver Spring was arrested.

RAMSAY AVE. AND CAMERON ST., 11:59 p.m. Sept. 12. Six males attacked a pedestrian, knocked her down and fled with her purse.

CASTLE BLVD., 13800 block, 7 a.m. to 7:37 p.m. Sept. 11. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

GUILDFORD RUN LANE, 13400 block, 3:43 a.m. Sept. 11. A man broke into an acquaintance's home and tried to leave with property. A man, 24, was arrested.

HAMPTON HOLLOW DR., 3400 block, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 11. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

PLYMOUTH ST., 8700 block, 9:20 a.m. Sept. 11. Property was stolen from a residence.

VALLEY STREAM AVE., 4300 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 11. Property was taken from a residence entered by force. Three males and a female were seen fleeing with the property.

ASSAULTS

DALEWOOD DR., 12300 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 9. A person was assaulted by an acquaintance with a knife. A 20-year-old Langley Park man was arrested.

CARJACKING

GEORGIA AVE., 11700 block, 8:15 p.m. Sept. 15. A man in the parking lot of a library attacked a woman getting into her vehicle and demanded her keys. After a struggle during which the assailant was kicked in the groin, he fled on a bicycle.

ROBBERIES

HYDE RD., 600 block, 9:30 p.m. Sept. 12. A juvenile robbed a juvenile acquaintance at gunpoint. Police said that the gun was plastic.

SHERATON AND LIVINGSTON STREETS, Sept. 14. Two males tried to rob two people at knifepoint. Two Silver Spring men, ages 19 and 23, were arrested.

TURKEY BRANCH PKWY., 12800 block, Sept. 16. A man grabbed a pedestrian near a bus stop and tried to carry her away. When she sprayed him with a chemical spray, he put her down and ran away. No injuries were reported.

WEEPING WILLOW DR., 14200 block, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 15. Four male teenagers robbed a person of property. A 16-year-old from Silver Spring was arrested. The property was recovered.

BEL PRE RD., 4300 block, MATENY RD., 12900 block, NADINE DR., 14400 block, PARKLAND CT., 4300 block, URBANA DR., 2700 block, BAFFIN BAY LANE, 4900 block, ATHERTON DR., 12400 block, GALVEZ ST., 13300 block, Sept. 7 to 12. Tools and other property were stolen from eight vehicles.

GOLD MINE RD., 1800 block, 3:45 a.m. Sept. 11. An attempt was made to break into a residence.

LANDGREEN ST., 4300 block, 6:30 p.m. Sept. 12 to 6:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Property was stolen from a shed at a residence.

PENDLETON DR., 3300 block, 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. 14. Property was stolen from a residence.

REEDIE DR., CORONADA PL., 11900 block, UNIVERSITY BLVD., 500 block, PROCTOR ST., 10400 block, GRANVIEW AVE., MIDVALE RD., 11200 block, ALBERTI DR., 1900 block, JAMAICA DR., 10700 block, Sept. 9 to 13. Tools were among property stolen from seven vehicles.

WHISPERING PINES DR., 3100 and 3200 blocks, SNOWBIRD TERR., 2700 block, BEL PRE RD., 3000 block, WOLF CREEK PL., 14200 block, Sept. 7 to 9. An air bag, GPS devices, cellphones and digital music players were among property stolen from five vehicles.

CLUB HILL DR., 20100 block, 9:30 a.m. Sept. 8. An assault occurred at a residence. A woman, 53, was charged with aggravated assault.

ALDBURG WAY, 11500 block, 10:40 p.m. Sept. 12. Several males attacked a motorist getting out of a vehicle and robbed him of property. Two Germantown men, ages 19 and 20, were arrested.

GERMANTOWN RD. AND WISTERIA DR., 7:30 p.m. Sept. 14. A man robbed a woman of a purse.

GREAT SENECA HWY. AND CLOPPER RD., 9:45 p.m. Sept. 14. A male waiting in his vehicle for a female acquaintance who had just called him for a ride was attacked and robbed by several people. The victim said that the phone call was a setup.

BAYBERRY DR., 13200 block, Sept. 15. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

BRASS WHEEL RD., 14300 block, 10 p.m. Sept. 9 to 5:45 a.m. Sept. 10. Car keys and other property were stolen from a residence. A silver 1997 Silver Honda Civic was also stolen.

CENTURY BLVD., 19800 block, 12:30 to 2:10 p.m. Sept. 13. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

CHALET DR., 18200 block, 9 a.m. Sept. 12 to 7:30 a.m. Sept. 13. Property was stolen from a residence entered by force.

LAUREL GROVE TERR., 19000 block, noon to 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15. Property was stolen from a residence.

SCEPTRE RIDGE TERR., 11100 block, 2:55 a.m. Sept. 15. A man entered an occupied residence and tried to flee with a purse. An 18-year-old Germantown man was arrested.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 500 block, 11:15 a.m. Sept. 10. A man grabbed a pedestrian, beat and kicked her and tried to force her into a wooded area. She said that she lost consciousness and that he was gone when she recovered.

FREDERICK AVE. S., 500 block, 1:15 p.m. Sept. 12. A person assaulted a female acquaintance. Police said that it was a domestic incident.

NINA CT., 9:50 p.m. Sept. 12. A man who saw two people trying to break into his vehicle was attacked with a broomstick when he confronted them. A male, 15, was arrested.

RESEARCH BLVD., 2600 block, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 14. A person assaulted an acquaintance near a motel. Police said that it was a domestic incident.

ROBBERIES

CLOVERWOOD CT., 8000 block, 1 a.m. Sept. 14. A gunman wearing a mask tried to rob a motorist who had just parked a vehicle. The victim said that instead of surrendering property, he put the car in reverse and drove away. No injuries were reported.

SIDE DR. W., 800 block, 11:15 p.m. Sept. 9. Two men threatened a male pedestrian with a sharp object and demanded cash. The victim ran. No injuries were reported.

SNOUFFER SCHOOL RD., 8000 block, 7:15 p.m. Sept. 12. A man attacked a woman as she was locking up a barber shop. He knocked her down and demanded her purse at gunpoint. When she screamed, a passerby intervened. An 18-year-old Germantown man was arrested at the scene.

STREAMSIDE DR., 18300 block, 10:25 p.m. Sept. 15. A woman armed with a handgun demanded the purse of a woman getting her mail in the hallway of a building. When the victim yelled for help, the assailant fled empty-handed.

HORIZON RUN RD., 9600 block, Sept. 12 to 14. A residence was entered. Nothing was reported missing.

MCDONALD CHAPEL CT., 12:01 a.m. to 8:16 p.m. Sept. 13. Property was stolen from a residence. There was no sign of forced entry. Police said that it was a domestic incident.

ODEND HAL AVE., 100 block, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 12. A briefcase was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. A man was seen fleeing with the property.

ROUNDLEAF WAY, 8900 block, 3:30 a.m. Sept. 14. An attempt was made to break into a residence by removing an air-conditioning unit from a window. A neighbor confronted the intruder, who fled on foot.

SIDE DR. W., 1000 block, 12:20 to 1:20 a.m. Sept. 7. Property was stolen from a residence.

SNOW VALLEY CT., 8700 block, 3 p.m. Sept. 10 to 7 a.m. Sept. 11. Property was stolen from a shed at a residence and from a work truck that was parked at the residence.

LONGWOOD DR., 700 block, 7:50 p.m. Sept. 18. A Gaithersburg man, 47, was charged with first- and second-degree aggravated assault and disorderly conduct.

MONTGOMERY AVE. W., 1200 block, 10:40 p.m. Sept. 11. A woman, 31, was charged with second-degree assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

MONTGOMERY AVE. W., 1200 block, 6:49 a.m. Sept. 13. A Germantown woman, 27, was charged with second-degree assault and providing a false statement to police.

ORCHARD WAY N., 1 to 100 block, 1:20 a.m. Sept. 13. A man, 44, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, first- and third-degree burglary, malicious destruction of property and disorderly conduct.

VANDEGRIFT AVE., 5900 block, 9:50 p.m. Sept. 13. A man, 21, was charged with second-degree assault and malicious destruction of property.
