According to the Associated Press, Michael Vick signed a new deal with Nike.

The shoe and apparel maker had dropped Vick more than two years ago because of his involvement in a dogfighting operation in Virginia.

Vick missed two NFL seasons while serving a federal sentence. He signed with the Philadelphia Eagles during the preseason and made his first regular season appearance for them last Sunday.

Terms of his new Nike deal were not announced. . . .

The Cleveland Browns have made a starting quarterback switch, with Brady Quinn being benched in favor of Derek Anderson.

Coach Eric Mangini announced that Anderson will start this weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns are winless and Mangini benched Quinn during last Sunday's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Anderson threw three interceptions in his relief appearance, but now gets his chance as the starter. . . .

Tailback LaDainian Tomlinson participated in San Diego's practice. He has missed the Chargers' last two games because of a sprained ankle. . . . The 0-3 Carolina Panthers are sticking with Jake Delhomme as their starter at quarterback, at least for now. Delhomme has thrown two touchdown passes and seven interceptions. . . .

The Seattle Seahawks likely will be without quarterback Matt Hasselbeck for a second game in a row. Hasselbeck is suffering from a fractured rib and Coach Jim Mora doesn't expect Hasselbeck or left tackle Walter Jones to play this weekend. . . . According to the Dallas Morning News, Cowboys left tackle Flozell Adams was fined by the league for a third straight game. This time, he was fined $7,500 for kicking Carolina's Julius Peppers.
