A 19-year-old man was shot to death Monday night on Benning Road in Northeast Washington, police said.

Sarahd Taylor was found about 9:40 p.m. by police who were called to investigate a report of gunfire, police said. Lt. Van Crawford said Taylor, of the 4700 block of Alabama Avenue SE, had been shot multiple times in the face and body. He was taken to Washington Hospital Center and pronounced dead at 10:20 p.m.

No information about possible suspects or motives was released.

Police asked anyone with information about the shooting to call detectives at (202) 727-9099 or 1-888-919-CRIME (1-888-919-2746). Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to an arrest and conviction in the slaying.

Anonymous information can be forwarded to D.C. Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS and to the department's text tip line by text messaging 50411, police said. If such information leads to an arrest and indictment, that caller will be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
