A teenager was hit by a vehicle and seriously injured late Friday afternoon near Bowie High School, authorities said.
The youth, who appeared to be about 13 years old , suffered a severe head injury and he was flown by helicopter to a hospital in the District for treatment.
The incident occurred about 5:20 p.m. in the 15200 block of Annapolis Road, according to Mark E. Brady, spokesman for the Prince George's County fire and emergency medical services department.
