A pair of armed robbers held employees of a Springfield bank in a room Wednesday while they robbed a teller, escaping with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The bank was the Wachovia branch at 8900 Burke Lake Rd. in Fairfax County, police said. Nobody was hurt during the robbery.
The robbers are believed to be the same pair that robbed a Wachovia branch at 6260 Old Dominion Dr. in McLean on Oct. 1, police said.
In Alexandria, police are investigating an armed bank robbery Thursday at the M&T Bank at 833 S. Washington St. The robber wore a white mask.
