19 MONDAY 6 P.M. Mildred Muhammad, the ex-wife of convicted D.C. sniper John Muhammad, discusses and signs her new memoir, "Scared Silent," at Barnes & Noble, 555 12th St. NW, 202-347-0176.

21 WEDNESDAY 6 P.M. Mireille Guiliano, the former president and chief executive of Clicquot and the author of "French Women Don't Get Fat," reads from and discusses her newest book, "Women, Work & the Art of Savoir Faire: Business Sense & Sensibility," at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, 1250 New York Ave. NW.
