Relocating Americans are relocating their pets, too. So http://www.petrelocation.com was founded to provide custom moving services as well as consumer information to those who will be moving on with their four cats, Newfoundland or 16 parakeets. And yes, the group will help you move your turtle to Tallahassee, and it will make sure it's legal to do so.

The interactive Web site enumerates its door-to-door transportation services, both national and international, including flight bookings, customs clearance and delivery. But the site has a lot more. It can alert you to issues such as how to help pets cope with the stress of moving and how to find a pet-friendly airline.

You can even link to a video posted on YouTube about selecting your pet's airline-approved travel crate. Or sign up for tweets (Twitter name is "petrelocation"), which will get you info such as where to find a good pet relief area outside LaGuardia. Or you can link up with other pet owners on the move at its social networking site.
