Wedding date: Sept. 19

Location: Amanda's parents' house in Annapolis

Guests: 100

How they met: Amanda and Jeremy were recruited as the wingmen when their best friends went on a first date. That couple didn't work out. Amanda and Jeremy did. The first date they set up for themselves was also supposed to be a double date, but her friend backed out. They still met one friend for dinner and a movie -- the rather unromantic "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World."

The proposal: Amanda was studying abroad in southern France, and Jeremy, who was in the military at the time, was in northern France after his Navy ship docked there. The two took a day trip to Paris, and while on top of the Eiffel Tower, he proposed -- just moments after they had been giggling over a pigeon they had fed some lackluster pizza.

The wedding: The pair paid for the wedding themselves and held it at her parents' house to save money and honor the place that meant so much to her. They went with a vineyard theme inspired by the love of wine she cultivated in France, with grapevines and bottles decorating the site.

Honeymoon: Los Angeles, where Jeremy and Amanda lucked into a posh hotel room in which their next-door neighbor happened to be rapper Diddy, a.k.a. Sean Combs.
