Wedding Details of Nicole Moore and Talib Madyun
|
|
Nicole Moore had a definite aesthetic in mind for her wedding to Talib Madyun -- she wanted everything to be "sexy, simple, chic." Deep reds and brown were used throughout the Oct. 10 wedding at the Embassy Suites in the West End.
The ambiance: Moore did most of the work on the wedding herself, and was insistent that the event be personal. During the ceremony, passages of Bible scripture and the Koran were read to reflect her Christianity and his Muslim faith. Madyun's 6-year-old son, Xander, was on the altar for the ceremony, dressed in a checkered tie and matching sneakers.
The food: After a cocktail hour, at which guests sipped champagne in the hotel's atrium, they moved to the ballroom for dinner -- a choice between salmon and chicken. Cakewalk Confections made the yellow wedding cake with chocolate and vanilla butter cream frosting.
The dress: Moore wore a strapless, ivory gown from Priscilla of Boston's Vineyard Collection.

First dance: "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain.
