Regent Palms Turks and Caicos on Grace Bay Beach is offering 25 percent discounts on minimum four-night stays through Dec. 16. Rate starts at $300 per night, a savings of $100. Luxury cruise line Seabourn has discounted its Caribbean Charms cruise departing Dec. 9 by 65 percent. The seven-night cruise, which sails round trip from St. Thomas, now starts at $1,999 per person double plus $63 taxes. The voyage, aboard the 208-passenger Seabourn Spirit, docks at five islands, including Martinique, St. Barts and Nevis. Details: 800-929-9391, http://www.seabourn.com.


United is offering a sale on new nonstop flights from Washington Dulles to Madrid next summer for $599 round trip, including taxes (fare on other airlines starts at more than $1,000). Fare is valid for travel May 14 to Aug. 29. For spring travel -- March 26 to May 13 -- fare is $499 round trip, including taxes. Flights are operated by Aer Lingus in a code-share agreement between the airlines. Deadline to book is Oct. 31. Sale is valid for Monday-Thursday travel; a Saturday night minimum stay is required. Virgin America is offering sale fares of $100 each way (plus taxes) from Washington Dulles to several cities. Sale applies to nonstop flights to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco, and on connecting flights to San Diego, Seattle and Orange County, Calif. Taxes vary; round-trip fare to Los Angeles and San Francisco, for example, is $221 with taxes. Other airlines are matching. Fly by March 10; holiday blackout dates apply. Foreign Independent Tours has reduced its 11-day Italy by Train tour by as much as $400. Price for trip leaving Jan. 11 now starts at $1,599 (plus $169 taxes); other departure dates are slightly higher. Trip includes airfare from Reagan National to Venice, with return from Rome; two nights at Hotel Gardena in Venice; one night at Hotel Orologio in Ferrara; four nights at Hotel Lorenzo il Magnifico in Florence; two nights at Hotel Milton in Rome; train transportation between the cities; airport transfers in Rome; and daily breakfast.
