Stefan Demos kicked a 19-yard field goal with 21 seconds left Saturday as Northwestern completed a 25-point rally to beat Indiana at home, 29-28.
The Wildcats (5-3, 2-2) trailed 28-3 in the second quarter after Indiana used a 70-yard touchdown run from Darius Willis on the game's first scrimmage play and a 93-yard kickoff return from Ray Fisher to build the big lead.
Northwestern quarterback Mike Kafka shook off three second-half interceptions to help the Wildcats stage their comeback. He finished 26 of 46 for 312 yards.
Indiana (4-4, 1-3) tried a last-play field goal but Nick Freeland's 59-yard attempt fell short.
-- OLE MISS 30, ARKANSAS 17: Dexter McCluster set career highs in rushing and receiving and Jevan Snead threw for a career-high 332 yards to lead the Rebels in Oxford, Miss.
Rebels Coach Houston Nutt beat his former team for the second straight year as McCluster finished with 123 yards rushing and 137 receiving.
Ole Miss (5-2, 2-2 Southeastern Conference) jumped ahead 17-0 and controlled the line of scrimmage throughout. The Rebels made 31 first downs to 13 for Arkansas (3-4, 1-4) and outgained the Razorbacks, 553-299.
-- IOWA STATE 9, NEBRASKA 7: The Cornhuskers matched a school record by committing eight turnovers, including four inside the Iowa State 5-yard line, and the Cyclones posted an upset for their first victory in Lincoln, Neb., since 1977.
The 18- 1/2 point underdog Cyclones (5-3, 2-2) ended a 15-game Big 12 losing streak in games played away from Ames, Iowa, and now have their most wins since 2005. Nebraska (4-3, 1-2) lost its second consecutive game.
-- KANSAS STATE 20, COLORADO 6: Daniel Thomas ran for 145 yards and a touchdown and Emmanuel Lamur had two interceptions to lead Big 12 North-leading Wildcats at home.
Humbled by an early loss to Louisiana-Lafayette and a 66-14 beat-down by Texas Tech, Kansas State (5-3, 3-1) is alone atop the Big 12 North. Colorado (2-5, 1-2) had four turnovers.
-- PURDUE 24, ILLINOIS 14: Joey Elliott passed for 166 yards and ran for 62 yards and a touchdown as the Boilermakers (3-5, 2-2 Big Ten) beat Illinois (1-6, 0-5) in West Lafayette, Ind., to avoid a letdown after upsetting Ohio State last week.
