Despite being without his two top complements, Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson has continued to orchestrate a potent attack and will lead the No. 13 Cowboys against unbeaten No. 3 Texas this Saturday. Robinson has completed 65.3 percent of his passes and thrown for 12 touchdowns with just three interceptions.
Oklahoma State will need to be aggressive against a mediocre Texas pass defense in order to have a chance to succeed. The Longhorns' pass defense has shown improvement in recent weeks -- it limited Missouri's spread attack to 99 passing yards Saturday night -- but it stands as the vulnerability Oklahoma State is best suited to exploit.
In the absence of wide receiver Dez Bryant, who was declared ineligible by the NCAA earlier this season, and tailback Kendall Hunter, who has missed the past five games with an injured ankle, Oklahoma State has found capable replacements. Senior running back Keith Toston rushed for more than 100 yards twice in the past three weeks. Sophomore wideout Hubert Anyiam has emerged in the past two weeks as Robinson's favorite target.
Another team whose national title aspirations will hang in the balance this week is No. 4 Southern California. The Trojans will play at No. 10 Oregon and have zero margin for error, as they already have a loss on their record.
