Kenneth D. Hall U-Md. Plant Supervisor

Kenneth Delos Hall, 90, who was a supervisor at the University of Maryland physical plant after working for years in flooring stores, died Sept. 30 of pneumonia at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville. He lived at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg.

Mr. Hall was a native Washingtonian and a graduate of Central High School and the University of Maryland. He served in the Army in Europe during World War II and was recalled to serve as a captain in the Korean War.

He spent many years working in the retail flooring business in the District and Bethesda and later worked at the University of Maryland's physical plant until retiring in 1986.

Mr. Hall was a longtime resident of Bethesda and Potomac and was a founding member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Bethesda. He was a member of the American Legion and a past president of the Chevy Chase Lions Club.

His wife of 60 years, Jane Thoma Hall, died in 2003.

Survivors include his wife of five years, Mildred Reynolds of Gaithersburg; five children from his first marriage, Jane Williams of Montgomery Village, Judith Loe of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jenness Coffey of Fort Collins, Colo., Kenneth D. Hall Jr. of Alpharetta, Ga., and Shelley Hall of Seward, Alaska; two grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
