L ST., 1600 block, 9:30 a.m. Oct. 20. A man inquired about opening an account at a bank, then said he had a gun and showed a note to a teller demanding cash. The teller complied, and he fled.

M ST. AND WISCONSIN AVE., 4 p.m. Oct. 18. A male was assaulted and robbed by several males after leaving a bar.

M ST., 1-99 block, 12:50 a.m. Oct. 17. Three male youths wearing ski masks approached two people who were walking to their car. One youth showed a handgun and took property. The robbers then fled.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 600 block, 6:45 to 6:48 p.m. Oct. 16. A male and a female approached two parking attendants at a booth and robbed them of cash at gunpoint.

N ST., 1-99 block, 9:45 p.m. Oct. 16. A man armed with a handgun robbed a male pedestrian.

OGDEN ST., 1500 block, 9:46 p.m. Oct. 16. Two males robbed a male at gunpoint in a parking area.

P ST., 1700 block, 9 a.m. Oct. 19. A group of males wearing masks pushed a male pedestrian into an alley. One masked male who had a gun threatened to kill the pedestrian if he returned to a group home where, the group claimed, he had fought with a relative of one of the masked males. The male said he had not fought with anyone. He was searched at gunpoint.

RESERVOIR RD., 3800 block, 6:30 to 6:45 p.m. A man entered an office in a restaurant and forced a female to open a safe. He displayed a knife and ordered her to place cash in a bag. He fled after tying her to a chair.

S ST., 1300 block, 7:50 p.m. Oct. 17. A male walked past two males, and one grabbed him by his scarf and punched him in the face. Both males then demanded cash, and he complied. They fled after kicking him.

SEATON PL., 100 block, 10:45 to 10:47 p.m. Oct. 19. Two pedestrians were robbed at gunpoint of cash and a backpack.

SHEPHERD ST., 700 block, 2:12 p.m. Oct. 19. A gunman approached a male and took property from the male's pocket. The male ran away, hearing gunshots. No injuries were reported.

SHERMAN AVE., 3200 block, 11:20 to 11:25 a.m. Oct. 16. Three males entered a residence and robbed three people at gunpoint.

THIRD AND VAN BUREN STREETS, 12:30 to 1 a.m. Oct. 20. Three men forced a pedestrian to the ground, took property and fled. One robber implied he was armed with a handgun.

FOURTH AND WHITTIER STREETS, 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Two male youths approached a male pedestrian from behind, and one demanded his coat. He then crossed the street, and the youths tried to corner him while holding their hands in their waistbands to imply they were armed. They fled when he shouted for help.

FIFTH ST., 7000 block, 5 to 5:03 p.m. Oct. 16. A male pedestrian was approached by several males. Two showed handguns and took property from him.

EIGHTH AND H STREETS, 7 p.m. Oct. 16. A man dropped a cellphone in front of a male, then bumped the male. The male later discovered that his wallet had been taken.

10TH ST., 2000 block, 1 to 1:20 a.m. Oct. 17. Two females were robbed at gunpoint by three males.

11TH AND R STREETS, 7:20 t0 7:21 p.m. Oct. 17. Two men approached a female from behind and forced her to the ground. One displayed a handgun and demanded property. She complied, and they walked away.

11TH ST., 1200 block, 2 a.m. Oct. 19. Several people forced their way into a restaurant and robbed several employees. Property was taken from a safe.

14TH AND RIGGS STREETS, 10:20 Oct. 19. A female walked past a man. He pushed her onto a parked car while covering her mouth and demanded cash. She complied, and he fled.

15TH ST., 1800 block, 12:30 a.m. Oct. 17. A man approached a female from behind in an alley, threatened to shoot her and demanded her purse. She gave him cash, and he fled.

17TH AND S STREETS, 2:30 a.m. Oct. 17. A taxi driver drove two men to a destination, and one placed an object to the driver's neck and demanded cash. The driver gave up property, and they fled.

17TH ST. AND CONNECTICUT AVE., 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a jacket on the back of a chair in a specialty store.

18TH AND N STREETS, 5:51 p.m. Oct. 20. A man snatched a cellphone from a female while she was sending a text message. He fled in a vehicle.

25TH ST., 1100 block, 1:50 to 1:55 p.m. Two men grabbed an ATM customer by the arms after he had made a withdrawal. They forced him to walk to another location in the area, then took the money from his jacket and fled.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

ALLISON ST., 200 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 19 to 5 p.m. Oct. 20. An intruder entered a church and wrote graffiti in a women's restroom.

ASPEN ST., 300 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 19. Four males entered an apartment, and two showed guns. One gunman ordered a male occupant to stay seated, then hit him in the face with the handgun and punched his neck. The male and two other occupants were blindfolded, their hands were bound, and their mouths were duct taped. A male knocked on the door and was assaulted. The robbers took property and fled.

BATES ST., 1-99 block, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Property was stolen from a residence entered by removing a deadbolt. A metal plate was then placed in the lock space.

COLUMBIA RD., 1900 block, 3 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 18. Property was stolen from an apartment entered through an unlocked door.

IRVING ST., 500 block, 10 p.m. Oct. 16 to 8:02 a.m. Oct. 17. Property was stolen from an apartment entered by cutting alarm wires and removing a basement window.

K ST., 1800 block, 11:30 p.m. Oct. 18 to 6 a.m. Oct. 19. A male entered an office building through the front doors by triggering a motion sensor. In the lobby, the intruder pried open two drawers of a security desk. No property was reported stolen. He then entered a bank from the lobby through an employee entrance. Nothing was reported stolen there. An office suite was then entered in an unknown manner, and a room was entered by breaking drywall to access a door lock. Property was reported taken.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE., 1-99 block, 9:50 p.m. Oct. 9 to 7 a.m. Oct. 10. Several CD players were stolen from a transportation terminal entered through an unlocked door.

MONTAGUE ST., 1400 block, 7:15 p.m. Oct. 18. A resident returned home and discovered that a door had been kicked open and property had been stolen.

NEW YORK AVE., 1200 block, 1:02 to 2 a.m. Oct. 16. Property was stolen from an office suite.

PARK RD., 1900 block, 10 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. Oct. 17. Property was stolen from an apartment entered through an unlocked door.

Q ST., 600 block, 10:45 p.m. Oct. 19 to 12:03 a.m. Oct. 20. Property was stolen from a residence entered in an unknown manner. A resident awoke to a burglar alarm, then reset the alarm, thinking that there was no burglary.

SPRING RD., 1400 block, 10:30 to 10:40 p.m. Oct. 18. A man knocked on a rear door of a residence, and when a female answered, he shouted and left. He returned about 10 minutes later and assaulted an occupant.

TAYLOR ST., 400 block, 3 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by using tools.

VIRGINIA AVE., 2700 block, 1 to 1:10 a.m. Oct. 20. A male entered an area and took property.

WHITEHAVEN ST., 3300 block, 6 p.m. Oct. 16 to 7:30 a.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from an office entered by throwing a rock through a window.

WISCONSIN AVE., 1000 block, 11:15 a.m. Oct. 6 to 10 a.m. Oct. 16. A computer disk drive was stolen from an office.

WISCONSIN AVE., 4500 block, 11 p.m. Oct. 17 to 7 a.m. Oct. 18. Property was stolen from a parking garage booth entered by prying open a door with a box cutter. A parking validation machine was recovered in the parking lot.

FIRST ST., 1700 block, 1:25 p.m. Oct. 16. A man entered a residence and assaulted a person. The person was then bound with wire and tape. The assailant fled with property.

NINTH ST., 1900 block, 1:10 to 1:45 a.m. Oct. 19. A person entered a restaurant, took property and fled through a rear door.

18TH ST., 1900 block, 8 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. Oct. 15. Property was stolen from a residence.

19TH ST., 2300 block, 2:38 to 2:42 a.m. Oct. 18. A gunman forced three people to enter an area and demanded property. They complied, and he fled.

28TH ST., 2800 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 18 to 4 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by prying open a window.

HOMICIDES

G ST., 4800 block, 2:28 a.m. Oct. 20. An unidentified male was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was found with gunshot wounds and taken to a hospital.

SEXUAL ASSAULTS

HARTFORD ST., 11 to 11:30 p.m. Sept. 26. A male sexually assaulted a female relative at a residence.

FOURTH ST., 3400 block, 12:44 to 12:55 a.m. Oct. 20. A male sexually assaulted a female at a school.

47TH ST., 1:15 a.m. Oct. 17. A male sexually assaulted a female at a residence.

ROBBERIES

ADRIAN ST., 700 block, 10:50 p.m. Oct. 19. A gunman forced a female driver from a vehicle and fled in it with a male accomplice.

ATLANTIC ST., 600 block, 10:33 to 10:43 p.m. Oct. 18. A gunman forced a male driver from a vehicle and tried to flee in it. The robber got out of the vehicle when he could not operate it and robbed the driver of property, then fled in another vehicle.

E ST., 1200 block, 8:20 to 8:26 p.m. Oct. 16. A gunman robbed a male pedestrian of property, then fled with two male accomplices.

POMEROY RD., 2500 block, 3:27 p.m. Oct. 19. A gunman and a male accomplice assaulted and robbed a male pedestrian.

SIXTH ST., 3500 block, 2:45 to 2:48 p.m. Oct. 17. A male assaulted and tried to rob a male occupant in a vehicle at a parking area. A female occupant drove the vehicle away.

SEVENTH ST., 300 block, 2:25 to 2:27 p.m. Oct. 16. A person robbed a female at a store of a wallet and fled with an accomplice.

15TH ST. AND INDEPENDENCE AVE., 5:25 to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19. A male robbed a male pedestrian of property and fled with an accomplice.

53RD ST., 1-99 block, 11:45 to 11:50 p.m. Oct. 16. A gunman assaulted a male motorist and tried to force the driver from his vehicle. The assailant fled after he was unable to gain control of the vehicle.

55TH ST., 1-99 block, 10:30 p.m. Oct. 17. A gunman demanded that a female driver get out of her vehicle. She resisted and drove away.

THEFTS/BREAK-INS

CEDAR ST., 1400 block, 10:15 a.m. Oct. 19. An attempt was made to enter a residence by prying a security cage from a bedroom window.

CHESTER ST., 2200 block, 9:50 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16. Property was stolen from a residence entered through a bedroom window.

E ST., 1200 block, 8:40 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence.

MONTERIA CT., 800 block, 12:21 p.m. Oct. 19. Property was stolen from a residence entered by breaking a window.

PENNSYLVANIA AVE., 1300 block, 2:20 to 2:21 a.m. Oct. 19. A male intruder tried to enter a residence through a rear window. An arrest was made.

POTOMAC AVE., 800 block, 5 p.m. Oct. 10 to 11 a.m. Oct. 12. Property was stolen from an office entered by forcing open a rear door.

SAVANNAH ST., 1600 block, 3:15 p.m. Oct. 16 to 12:05 a.m. Oct. 17. Property was stolen from an apartment.

STANTON RD., 3000 block, 8 to 8:10 p.m. Oct. 20. Property was taken from an apartment by a gunman and a male accomplice, who forcibly entered the home when a resident opened the front door.

13TH PL., 3400 block, 1:15 p.m. Oct. 16. A residence was entered through a window by a male intruder, who threatened a female resident. The resident fled and called police.

19TH ST., 3500 block, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Property was stolen from a residence.

19TH ST., 3500 block, 7:05 p.m. Oct. 17. TVs were stolen from an apartment by two male intruders.
