Two young suspects in a string of burglaries in the District were arrested Wednesday after they broke into a home in Northeast Washington, police said.

The suspects, one of whom is a juvenile, were seen entering a house in the 1200 block of Florida Avenue NE by plainclothes officers assigned to a street-crimes unit, police said. The name of the juvenile was withheld because of his age. The other suspect was identified as Daniel Howard, 18, of Northeast Washington.

Police said the pair were charged with second-degree burglary in the break-in Wednesday, and they suspect them of committing as many as 13 recent burglaries along the Florida Avenue corridor in Northeast.
