Two masked men forced their way into a Sterling home claiming to be law enforcement officials before stealing a safe and cash from the homeowners, Loudoun County authorities said.
The men entered the home in the 1200 block of East Lee Road shortly after 3:30 a.m. Friday morning, both displaying firearms, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
The homeowners were not injured during the incident, authorities said.
