Track maintenance on Metrorail's Red and Orange lines will cause some delays this weekend as inbound and outbound trains take turns sharing one track.
On the Red Line, riders traveling between the Friendship Heights and Van Ness-UDC stations should allow at least 30 minutes more for their travel time.
Metro will be replacing rail fasteners that stabilize tracks and making tunnel repairs, meaning trains will share one track between the two stations until midnight Sunday.
On the Orange line, Metrorail riders traveling between the Cheverly and Stadium-Armory stations should add at least 30 minutes to their travel time.
Metro will be replacing crossties and will conduct maintenance on the aerial structure outside the Stadium-Armory Station. Trains will share one track between the two stations until midnight Sunday.
