The Greyhound bus terminal in the District was evacuated for a time Friday evening after passengers became suspicious about a bag carried by a man who boarded a bus, authorities said.

A police source said that the man appeared to be holding the bag in what was deemed to be a suspicious manner. A package that appeared to be connected to wiring was reportedly spotted in the bag, the source said.

It was later determined that the bag contained electronics equipment, including a laptop computer and a camera. The wiring was described by authorities as part of an adapter and normal business resumed about 8 p.m.
