A 22-year-old man was injured Saturday night in a drive-by shooting at a popular Prince George's County shopping center, police said.

The man, who police did not identify, was walking with two 21-year-old men between Shoppers Food Warehouse and Bojangles' Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits in Largo Town Center at about 11 p.m. when someone drove by in a tan colored van and opened fire, said Officer Henry Tippett, a Prince George's County police spokesman. The 22-year-old man was struck in the leg, Tippett said, and his two companions were unharmed.

It is not clear what sparked the incident, which occurred near the intersection of Largo Center Drive and Zachery Street, Tippett said. He said the victims were unable to provide any suspect information; they reported to police only that they heard what sounded like firecrackers, then the 22-year-old noticed he had been shot.
