An 18-year-old Alexandria woman was stabbed in the chest and three of her male friends cut early Sunday morning as they left a Halloween party in Clinton, police said.
The incident occurred at about 1:30 a.m. just outside Sunny's Auto Body shop in the 6300 block of Old Branch Avenue, said Officer Henry Tippett, a Prince George's County Police spokesman. The woman and three of her male friends were leaving a party at the shop when two other men approached and stabbed her in the chest, he said. An altercation ensued, and the woman's friends sustained minor lacerations, he said.
The woman was driven to Southern Maryland Hospital Center by a friend, then flown to Washington Hospital Center, Tippett said. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening. Her three male friends -- a 19-year-old from Fort Washington man, a 17-year-old from Fort Washington, and a 22-year-old from Oxon Hill -- were also taken to nearby hospitals with injuries not thought to be life threatening, Tippett said.
It is not clear what precipitated the incident or if the woman knew her attackers, Tippett said. He said both attackers were carrying small knives, and they appeared to be men in their 20s.
