Metro is hosting a public forum Tuesday in Montgomery County to hear from riders about next year's budget.

The transit agency is facing an estimated $144 million shortfall for the fiscal year that begins July 1, 2010. The session will be at 7 p.m. in the Kennedy High School cafeteria, 1901 Randolph Rd., in Silver Spring. General manager John B. Catoe Jr. will give a presentation, and a public discussion will follow.

The Prince George's County forum will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at Prince George's Community College's Rennie Forum, at the Largo Student Center, 301 Largo Road, Largo.
