Want to take a spur-of-the-moment trip to Miami? Here's the info you need for the weekend of Nov. 13-15:


American Airlines offers nonstop flights from Reagan National to Miami International Airport starting at $423 round trip.


Heavy convention traffic means many hotels are booked, but here are two available options:

Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, 1633 N. Bayshore Dr., 305-374-3900, Located on the waterfront along Biscayne Bay, only two miles from the Design District. Rooms start at $159.

Four Seasons Hotel Miami, 1435 Brickell Ave., 800-332-3442, Deluxe everything, including three pools. Four miles from the Design District. Rooms from $350.


Pacific Time, 35 NE 40th St., 305-722-7369, Pan-Asian and contemporary American cuisine. Dine stylishly indoors or in the tropical open patio. Entrees $18 to $26.

Fratelli Lyon, 4141 NE Second Ave., 305-572-2901, Traditional Italian foods -- antipasti, pizza, pasta, salads, dolci -- spanning regions from Piedmont to Sicily. Entrees $12 to $32.

Sra. Martinez, 4000 NE Second Ave., 305-573-5474, Spanish-inspired tapas menu. Each: $3 to $23.

Michael's Genuine Food & Drink, 130 NE 40th St., 305-573-5550, Bistro cuisine features locally sourced foods, with indoor and outdoor seating. Recently opened for Sunday brunch. Entrees $18 to $50.
