MONTGOMERY CHILD CARE ASSOCIATION 5K RACE AND WACKY FUN RUN The 5K is a challenging rolling-hills loop in Lake Needwood Park. For the Wacky Fun Run, participants are invited to wear costumes or decorate a stroller. There is also a half-mile run for children and beginners. Proceeds benefit the Montgomery Child Care Association's Family Emergency Scholarship Fund. STEP-BY-STEP 5K FUN RUN/WALK Sponsored by Calvert Alliance Against Substance Abuse and Chesapeake Bay Running Club, this race is in honor of Mike Blackwell, a marathon runner killed in 2001 while jogging.
