What to watch for: Coach Brenda Frese had the choice of playing closed-door scrimmages against Division I opponents or exhibition games against Division II or III schools; she chose the latter, in part to see how her young squad handles the pressure of playing "when the lights are turned on," she said. Sophomore center Lynetta Kizer is the only returning starter from last year's ACC championship team. Keep an eye on freshman guard Dara Taylor, a McDonald's all-American who's quick and confident with the ball, and freshman forward Diandra Tchatchouang, a 6-foot-3 French national team player who's comfortable on the wing. Bowie State, Division II team, is picked to finish first in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association's East Division.
