Fairfax City

The following incident was reported by the animal control section of the Fairfax City police. For information, call 703-385-7924 or visit http://www.fairfaxva.gov and click on "animals" under "list of services."

Poodle found

ARMSTRONG ST., 10400 block, Oct. 23. A man found an old female poodle in a small carrier with a leash attached near his office building. He took the poodle to the city's shelter, where it was treated for skin and ear irritations. The dog will be placed for adoption if not claimed.

Vienna

The following incident was reported by Vienna police. For information, call 703-255-6396.

Dog kills raccoon

COTTAGE ST. SW, 1200 block, 8:09 p.m. Oct. 25. A dog shook a raccoon vigorously during a fight, killing it. The raccoon was taken to the Fairfax County animal shelter for rabies testing. The dog was placed under quarantine.
