Squirrel gets tangled up

SILVER SPRING, Canyon Street, 1300 block, Oct. 20. Someone called Animal Services to report that a squirrel was entangled in netting on a batting cage. A Humane Society field agent responded and freed the animal, which did not appear to be injured.

Dog caught in fence

SILVER SPRING, Judson Road, 12000 block, Oct 20. A Humane Society field agent called Animal Services to request assistance with a Rottweiler mix that was stuck in a fence. The officers helped free the dog, which was uninjured. The dog belonged to residents of that address, and the owner was unaware the dog had been stuck. The owner was advised to make repairs to the fence.
