Claire Rathbun Bergeron Office Manager
Claire Rathbun Bergeron, 81, a former office manager at a Rockville printing company, died of respiratory failure Oct. 20 at Hillside House, an assisted-living facility in Clarksville.
Mrs. Bergeron worked for many years at M.J. Murtaugh Associates, retiring in 1988. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels in the late 1980s and for the Laurel Historical Society in the 1990s.
She was born Claire Sinsabaugh in Detroit and moved to the Washington area in 1965.
Her marriage to Frank H. Rathbun ended in divorce. A son from that marriage, Charles Frederick Rathbun, died in 1975.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph O. Bergeron of Laurel; three children from her first marriage, Charity Rathbun Ramoz of Detroit, Frank Rathbun III of Annandale and Becky Rathbun Duffey of Staunton, Va.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
