A Woodbridge man died this morning in a traffic accident on Interstate 95, according to Virginia state police.
Tomell Grady, 26, was driving a Hyundai headed northbound around 2:15 a.m. when his car drove into the back of a tractor trailer. The accident happened about three-fourths of a mile north of Route 7100 in Fairfax County.
Grady's car was traveling at a "high rate of speed," said First Sgt. M.L. Sweet. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
State police shut down the roadway for about three hours to investigate and reopened the roadway around 5:30 a.m., Sweet said.
