I'd like my 75 cents back, please. I'd like my old Post back as well.
The edition that I recently picked up at the Bethesda Metro station contained a Thomas Boswell column that was riddled with errors ["Girardi's Yankees are one step away," Sports, Nov. 2].
Granted, World Series Game 4 ended late. But this was amateur hour in your editing room. Verbatim quotes -- I am not making these up -- from the column included:
-- " . . . may be on crucial value"
-- "the Yankees had reverse the tide of this crucial game"
-- "Damon . . . batted Lidge for an eight-pitch single"
-- "in last years playoffs here"
-- "shorten up their rotations voluntary"
-- "cut the yankee lead"
What frustrates me is that I feel I have little choice but to pay 75 cents for this. But there is no excuse for such a shoddy product. There were more errors in that column than one would see in a high school or college newspaper.
