Anna L. Wood Church Member

Anna L. Wood, 86, who was a member of Graham Road United Methodist Church in Falls Church for 53 years, died Oct. 4 at the Sunrise Senior Living center in Oakton. She had heart disease.

Mrs. Wood was a secretary at the old Office of Education for several years in the 1940s and 1950s before leaving to raise her family.

She was born Anna Lee Rumans in Gravois Mills, Mo., and graduated from a business school in Chillicothe, Mo. She came to Washington after World War II.

Mrs. Wood was active in Girl Scouts and church groups and enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Her husband of 55 years, Paul K. Wood, died in 2005.

Survivors include two children, Denise Wood of Atlanta and Gary Wood of Annandale; a brother; a sister; and two grandsons.

Paula F. Weinstock Geico Employee

Paula F. Weinstock, 67, an insurance screener for Geico in Chevy Chase from 1986 to 1995, died Oct. 21 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was a resident of Gaithersburg.

In the late 1990s, Mrs. Weinstock worked as a sales associate at various retail stores in Gaithersburg.

Paula Fischgrund was a native Washingtonian and a 1960 graduate of Calvin Coolidge High School. She was a member of the women's auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
