2. Before the snap, the left cornerback and strong safety shift to cover deeper to the sideline. When Ryan takes the ball, Turner runs a slant route to take the weak-side linebacker out of the play. Peelle circles inside to take the attention of the strong-side linebacker. Gonzalez releases outside into the right flat, distracting the safety and the outside linebacker backing into coverage. This lets White hit the right sideline behind the linebacker and ahead of the cornerback, who expected a deeper route.
