Police who arrived at a Northwest Washington apartment building late Friday found a man stabbed to death.
About 11:45 p.m., D.C. officers responded to a call that someone had been stabbed at 4211 Second St. They found Kevin J. Massey, 31, dead in his first-floor apartment with several knife wounds.
Officer Quintin Peterson said police have not identified a motive or suspects in the killing.
Massey was a landscaper who cut grass and raked leaves, his landlord said. He lived with two uncles, according to building manager Dwan Steele, 55. Steele, who lives on the top floor, said he saw Massey about two hours before the stabbing. Massey appeared to be in a great mood, Steele said, and was helping another tenant carry her groceries.
