Died at Bagram air base of wounds suffered elsewhere in Afghanistan on July 8, when his convoy was ambushed.

Died at Bethesda Naval Hospital two weeks after a makeshift bomb blew his legs off during a foot patrol in Helmand province.

2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
