The following organizations need volunteer help for a day, for a week or on a regular basis.
American Red Cross: Assist blood collections staff at blood drives. Volunteers are needed to greet donors, provide them with essential reading materials and offer refreshments. One-hour training session are offered. 800-272-0094, Ext. 1, karlofft@usa.redcross.org.
Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve: Work with the preserve manager to remove invasive plants so native plants can flourish and grow. All equipment will be provided. Take work gloves and beverages. 540-554-2542, groundhog0369@msn.com.
CrisisLink: Help staff a suicide and crisis hotline. Must be at least 18, willing to complete 45 hours of training and able to volunteer three hours a week. 703-527-6016, http:/
Dodona Manor: Docents needed for museum tours. Volunteers are also needed to help with the bookshop, gardening and administrative tasks. Training provided. 703-777-1301, tours@georgecmarshall.org.
Dulles International Airport: Greet and help travelers at the information desk. One shift of three to four hours per week. Experience in airline operations and customer service and knowledge of foreign languages helpful but not necessary. 703-572-7350, volunteer@mwaa.com.
Good Shepherd Alliance: Doctors, registered nurses and other medical staff members are needed to work with pregnant women and new mothers at a transitional house. 703-433-2631.

Home-delivered meals program: Deliver warm meals to homebound seniors in Loudoun County. 703-777-0257, dbressle@loudoun.gov.
LINK: Volunteer emergency support organization needs help for the Holiday Basket Program. Tasks include picking up food donations, coordinating food, coat and toy drives, sorting food and help on distribution days. 703-437-4409.
Loudoun Community Free Clinic: Doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, chiropractors, physical therapists, educators, Spanish interpreters, administrators, dietitians and grant writers are needed at the clinic, which offers health care to the uninsured. Flexible shifts. 703-779-5412, http:/
