-- The Beer column in today's Food section, which was printed in advance, was mistakenly labeled Spirits, which is written by Jason Wilson. The Beer column on local cask ales was written by Greg Kitsock.

-- A Nov. 10 A-section article about the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall misstated the year in which President Ronald Reagan gave a speech at the Brandenburg Gate urging Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev to "tear down this wall." Reagan spoke on June 12, 1987.

-- The Fine Print column and a photo caption on the Nov. 10 Fed Page incorrectly said that the Stiletto experimental naval craft could travel up to 50 knots per hour. A knot means one nautical mile per hour, so the correct description of the craft's speed would be up to 50 knots.

-- A Nov. 7 A-section article incorrectly said that a project to weatherize 11 homes on a block in Baltimore using federal stimulus funds has created no jobs. The contractor doing the work has not hired any new people, but the city has used stimulus funds to hire 11 people to oversee weatherization work throughout the city.

-- A review of Wilborn Hampton's book "America's Storyteller" in the Nov. 1 Outlook section incorrectly referred to Horton Foote's memoirs as "Farewell and Beginnings." The playwright wrote two volumes of memoirs titled "Farewell" and "Beginnings."

-- A review of LeBron James and Buzz Bissinger's book "Shooting Stars" in the Nov. 1 Outlook section should have disclosed that a book by the reviewer, Allen Barra, had been reviewed by Bissinger in another publication.

-- An Oct. 23 Metro article incorrectly said that the last time a Virginia county became a city was when Princess Anne County merged with Virginia Beach in 1963. The county of Nansemond ceased to exist when it became a city in July 1972. In January 1974, the city of Nansemond merged with the city of Suffolk.

-- A review of Monica Holloway's book "Cowboy & Wills" in the Oct. 23 Style section incorrectly described Holloway's husband as a screenwriter. He writes for television.

-- A review of Jon Krakauer's book "Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman" in the Sept. 13 Outlook section should have disclosed that the reviewer, Andrew Exum, had served as an unpaid adviser to Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal, whose role in the aftermath of Tillman's death is described in the book.
