Animal Watch: Onion off the hook for Lab's lethargy

41ST PL. SE, 1700 block, Oct. 30. A man took a mixed Labrador retriever to the Animal Rescue League's medical center because it was acting lethargic and had little appetite. He said his pet had eaten a slice of onion, which he thought might be toxic to dogs. A veterinarian ran a blood test, which revealed nothing out of the ordinary.
