A second suspect was arrested Friday in the fatal shooting of George Rawlings, who was fatally shot earlier this month while boarding a bus in the District after a funeral, D.C. police said.

Rawlings was the older brother of DeOnté Rawlings, who was shot and killed in 2007 by an off-duty police officer who said that DeOnté, 14, had stolen his mini bike.

DeAngelo Edwards, 19, was arrested Friday in Northeast Washington on a warrant and charged with first-degree murder while armed. Edwards, a Landover resident, was arrested by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, police said.

On Nov. 13, Jeffrey Britt, 17, of no fixed address, was arrested in Landover and charged with first-degree murder in George Rawlings's death, police said.

George Rawlings was killed Nov. 11 as he boarded a bus on H Street NE after attending a funeral for a man killed Oct. 31.
