D.C. man killed in Temple Hills

A D.C. man was shot and killed Sunday near the Beltway in Temple Hills, police said.

Just after 5:30 p.m., police were called to the 5200 block of Haras Place for a reported shooting. Officers arrived to find Deandre Smith, 22, suffering from a gunshot wound to his body. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police released few details about the circumstances of the shooting. They said they had no suspects or motive.
