CAPITALS INSIDER

Jurcina, Morrisonn set for return to lineup

Coach Bruce Boudreau said he expects defenseman Milan Jurcina to play Wednesday night against Buffalo. Fellow blue liner Shaone Morrisonn skated at practice Tuesday morning, but Boudreau said he wasn't sure about the top-pairing defenseman's status for the game against the Sabres. After practice, Morrisonn said he planned to take the pregame skate, but that he "still feels a little foggy sometimes."

An indication that Morrisonn is more probable than questionable against Buffalo is the fact that the Capitals sent call-ups John Carlson and Andrew Gordon back down to the Hershey Bears.

Hokies add JMU to complete 2010 schedule

Virginia Tech completed its 2010 schedule by adding James Madison, a division I-AA program, to fill the void left when its meeting with Western Michigan was taken off next year's slate.

The Hokies will host the Dukes on Sept. 11, 2010, marking the seventh football meeting between the two Virginia universities, dating to 1980. Virginia Tech holds a 6-0 advantage in the series.

On Oct. 23, Western Michigan announced that it replaced Virginia Tech with Notre Dame on its 2010 schedule. The meeting between the Hokies and the Broncos in Blacksburg, Va., was moved to 2016.
