A fitting, model fan

Spencer Rhoda, brother of Estée Lauder model and Washington area native Hilary Rhoda, was picked this week as the Washington Redskins' candidate for NFL director of Fandemonium. The NFL and Monster.com have teamed up to offer fans the ultimate gig. One fan from each NFL team will have a chance to win $100,000, announce a pick at the 2010 NFL draft, attend the coin toss at the 2010 Super Bowl, announce the players at the NFL game in London, meet with NFL executives and call a play during the 2011 Pro Bowl. Each team has one representative. Stephanie Galbraith for the Pittsburgh Steelers is in first. The first round will end Dec. 13, when the field of 32 is whittled to eight.

Miley {heart}s Zac, sort of

Miley Cyrus has a crush on Zac Efron. "I think Zac Efron is the hottest person in the world. . . . Zac could get any girl . . . and do whatever, and he is so loyal and a really good friend, and he's so so the same, and he's just, like, super-good-looking," she said on Sirius XM's "Morning Mash Up." Efron's loyalty to girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens, whom he has been dating since the first "High School Musical," may likely prevent a love nest.

Besides, since September, the rumor mill has linked Miley with actor Liam Hemsworth. Her other rumored heartthrobs: singer Nick Jonas, June 2005-December 2007; underwear model Justin Gaston, September 2008-June 2009; and Nick Jonas again, June-July 2009.

A star behind bars?

Former teen idol Aaron Carter, who recently came in fifth on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," is willing to go to jail over tax-evasion charges leveled at him earlier this week, he told TV Guide. His tax troubles stem from a family kerfuffle in 2003, when he accused his manager mother of swiping $100,000 and mismanaging his accounts. He fired her.

Carter, brother of Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, owes $965,000 in back taxes from 2003 and an additional $45,000 for 2006.

End notes

Engaged? British singer Robbie Williams "proposed" to actress girlfriend Ayda Field during a live Australian television broadcast, the Associated Press reports. But alas, Williams brushed off the proposal as a joke. Williams's mother told British radio that her son intends to marry Field "in the not-too-distant future."

Spotted: Celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson, co-owner of Aquavit restaurant in New York City, was seen chowing down on a late-night snack at Potenza with eight friends after the White House state dinner Tuesday. Samuelsson ate the salumis platter with finocchiona and spicy sopressata, as well as dash of gorgonzola dolce, truffled pecorino and taleggio. He left by 1:30 a.m.
