Salahis to tell their side of the story to Matt Lauer

Michaele and Tareq Salahi will give their side of the Great State Dinner Kerfuffle exclusively to Matt Lauer, via remote hookup, Tuesday morning at 7 on NBC's "Today" show.

Imagine the surprise of CNN's "Larry King Live," whose producers had booked them for his Monday show, only to have the Salahis' wrangler, Mahogany Jones, call them back -- before the network could get out a news release about the booking -- to "postpone" the interview while promising that when the Salahis finally talked, Larry would get first crack.

A CNN rep told us Jones shed no light on why she was "postponing" the interview. Michaele is the leading candidate to become Supreme Diva on Bravo network's "Real Housewives of D.C." And Bravo is owned by . . . NBC!
