Another man held in Southeast slaying

A fourth man has been arrested in connection with a homicide this month in Southeast Washington. Jarvis L. Clark, 19, was arrested Monday in Fort Washington and charged with murder in the death of Arvell S. Alston, 40.

Alston, of Temple Hills, and another man were shot during a carjacking attempt in the 4300 block of Fourth Street near Chesapeake Street about 9 p.m. Dec. 1. The other man in the car was shot and injured.

Police arrested one suspect in connection with the case Dec. 11 and two more Dec. 15. Officers were looking for a fifth suspect, identified as Lynn D. Wilkerson, 33. Police ask anyone with information about Wilkerson's whereabouts to call 202-727-9099 or 888-919-2746.

Man fatally shot outside club

A District man was shot to death after his car was spotted leaving a Capitol Heights nightclub early Monday, police said.

Ricardo E. Ray, 18, was leaving the Mad Chef Cafe in the 7900 block of Central Avenue about 3 a.m. when a vehicle pulled alongside his a short distance from the club, police said.

Shots rang out, police said, and officers later found Ray in the car and suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police had initially said only that Ray had been found shot outside the club.
