OnLove: The details

Guests and vendors fought through record snowfall to make it to Rebecca Bloch and Jorge Diaz Pardo's wedding at the Westin Grand in Georgetown on Dec. 19. Once they made it, there was nothing left to do but have a good time.

The ambiance: Cozy and fun. The couple were married by Harry T. Edwards, a D.C. Circuit court judge who has known Bloch since she was young. It took some members of their band, Amaretto, nine hours to drive in from a gig in Richmond, but they made it and kept guests happily on the dance floor for much of the night. Carolyn Horton, the event coordinator at the Westin, slept at the hotel to make sure she'd be ready for last-minute arrangements, including the consolidation of tables when it became apparent that about 40 guests couldn't make it because of the snow.

The food: Westin Grand catered the reception and served paella in honor of the first meal Diaz Pardo made for Bloch. The cake was made by Creative Cakes of Silver Spring.

Photographer: Creation Waits Photography.

Dress: Bloch wore a strapless ivory dress by Marisa.

First dance: Amaretto performed the Etta James classic "At Last."
