Eddye Williams, who is believed to be the District's oldest resident, celebrated another birthday Monday. She is 110 years old.

Guests, including D.C. Council member Harry Thomas Jr. (D-Ward 5), filled her D.C. home to help mark the occasion and to hear her advice on longevity:

"Love everybody. Don't hate. Don't gossip. Take care of your own business. And take care of your body."
