D.C. Big Flea Market comes to Dulles Expo Center

-- The D.C. Big Flea Market is coming to the Dulles Expo Center this weekend, with free admission for shoppers younger than 30 on Sunday. The market will include 1,100 booths with dealers from about 30 states selling furniture, silver and ceramics, jewelry and collectibles. The flea market is open Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 and is good for both days. -- Also taking place this weekend is the Washington Antiques Show. Forty-four dealers from the United States and Europe will be at American University's Katzen Arts Center, 4400 Massachusetts Ave. NW, with furniture, home and garden accents, silver, ceramics and jewelry. This year's theme is "Flights of Fancy," and displays will feature items representing birds and other flying animals, flying machines and flights of imagination. Net proceeds from the sale will be donated to Thrift Shop Charities.
The show is open Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 for one day or $25 for all three days; children 12 and younger are free.
